Privacy Policy
Effective January 1, 2025
This policy explains how Momentous Growth LLC ("Momentous," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information through momentousgrowth.com and through ThankDrop, our service that lets nonprofits send thank-you voicemails to their donors.
Information we collect
When you visit this website
We don't use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers on this site. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.
From nonprofits that use ThankDrop
- Account and organization details: names, email addresses, phone numbers, and the organization's legal name, address, and tax identification number, which phone carriers require to register who is sending messages.
- Billing details: payments are processed by Stripe. We don't receive or store full card numbers.
- Voice recordings: recordings made by the person whose voice the organization uses, and the voice model created from them. We create a voice model only with that person's written consent.
- Message text: the thank-you message the organization writes.
About donors, on behalf of nonprofits
When a nonprofit connects its donation system to ThankDrop, we receive information about each gift: the donor's first name, phone number, email address, gift amount, date, and related details. We process this information only to send that nonprofit's thank-you messages, under the nonprofit's instructions. The nonprofit's own privacy policy governs its relationship with its donors.
How we use information
- To create and deliver thank-you voicemails that the nonprofit has approved.
- To check that a phone number can receive a voicemail before we send one.
- To honor opt-out requests and avoid sending more than one thank-you in a short period.
- To run, secure, support, and bill for the service.
- To comply with law and with phone carrier rules.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't use donor information for our own marketing.
Voice recordings and voice models
A voice model is used only to speak messages that the organization has written and approved. We don't use it to say anything else, and we don't share it with other customers. When the speaker or the organization asks, or when the account closes, we delete the recordings and the voice model within 30 days.
How we share information
We share information only with the service providers that help us run ThankDrop, and only as needed for them to do that work:
- Cloudflare, for hosting and storage.
- ElevenLabs, to create voice models and generate audio.
- Drop Cowboy and the telephone carriers it uses, to deliver voicemails.
- Twilio, to check whether a phone number is a mobile number.
- Google, to interpret short recordings of how a name is pronounced.
- Stripe, to process payments.
- Email delivery providers, to send account notices to nonprofit staff.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of others, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply.
Mobile information
We do not share mobile phone numbers or messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share mobile information only with the providers that deliver our messages, as described above.
Stopping messages
A donor who no longer wants thank-you voicemails can tell the nonprofit, or write to us at jeff@momentousgrowth.com. We add the number to a do-not-contact list and won't send to it again for that organization.
How long we keep information
We keep donor gift records for as long as the nonprofit uses ThankDrop and for 12 months afterward, then delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. Opt-out records are kept for as long as needed to honor them.
Security
We protect information with encryption in transit, access controls, and providers that maintain their own security programs. No system is perfectly secure, and we'll notify affected customers of a breach as the law requires.
Children
Our website and service aren't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you by writing to jeff@momentousgrowth.com. If we hold your information on behalf of a nonprofit, we'll pass your request to that nonprofit and help it respond.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we'll also tell our customers by email.
